La Palm Royal Beach Hotel Accra, Accra

The hotel has a good location but falls short on room maintenance. The service is attentive and responsive, with some areas needing renovation. Dining options are fantastic but with occasional service issues. The facilities are well-equipped with some room for improvement.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room, though spacious and offering a sea view, had security concerns with large glass doors and no window bars. The in-room safe was also not functioning, which was inconvenient. The highlight was the large bed and excellent air conditioning. The service was superb, with staff going the extra mile to ensure everything went smoothly. However, the location was far from the city center and major attractions, although it provided a peaceful spot by the sea for relaxation. The dining experience was adequate but lacked variety in gluten-free options. The facilities were satisfactory but could use some improvement for a more luxurious feel.

The hotel offers spacious rooms, some with balcony doors broken and a slight smell, but overall comfortable in size. The service is generally good, especially around the pool and by the breakfast area, though could improve in courtesy towards African guests. The location is perfect, with friendly staff, but room maintenance issues like shower leakage are a letdown. Dining is overpriced but offers good Ghanaian dishes. Facilities are satisfactory.

The hotel is situated close to Labadi Beach, offering a paradise-like experience with beautiful beach views. However, the rooms need urgent upgrades as the worn-out carpets are not up to standard. The service was good, especially when attending to my two energetic toddlers. The dining options were fantastic with a buffet full of variety. The location is ideal by the beach but lacks proper room maintenance for amenities like the shower and hair dryer.

The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with bathroom and TV available. While my room was changed upon request, some rooms had issues with non-functioning AC. The small step from the bathroom to the main room could be difficult to notice.
